Macy Lauren Ledet resides in the quaint suburb of Luling, Louisiana with her two children, Cullen and Fiona. She earned her Jurist Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she served on the Moot Court Admiralty Team, as well as Moot Court Alumni Co-Chair, focusing on alumni relations and community outreach.
Prior to her matriculation at Loyola Law, she attended undergrad at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she obtained her Bachelors Degree in Political Science, with minors in History and Sociology. From there, she went on to run several successful businesses prior to opening her own practice in 2018.
In February 2020, she was in an automobile accident, which rendered her a quadriplegic. Since that time, advocacy for ADA accessibility and representing the injuries of others, has become a passion of hers.
Additionally, post – accident, she became a fashion editor for a nationally syndicated magazine, as well as holding the title of Ms. Wheelchair LA USA from March 2021 through July 2022 for the State of Louisiana. She continues to advocate, breaking barriers by speaking for those without a voice, standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Helping others is truly her passion.
Macy is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, and St. Charles Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, Louisiana Eastern District, Louisiana Middle District, and Louisiana Western District Courts.
