Troubleshooting & FAQ

Professional Relationship: DivorcePlus is an on-demand professional marketplace platform that provides divorce professionals a space to offer their services to the public.  All professionals are independent practitioners.  Think of DivorcePlus as virtual office space – and you only pay for your space when you use it.  Maintain your practice while setting your own hours and working from anywhere at anytime.

Minimum Qualifications: All professionals offering services on the DivorcePlus platform are required to meet all licensing / credentialing requirements provided within their respective fields.

Earnings & Fees: Platform fees and provider payments are calculated as follows:

  • All providers agree to offer their services at the uniform pricing rate set by DivorcePlus (see Pricing for more details).
  • All provider fees are collected by our third party payment processor (Stripe) at the time of booking.
  • Each provider transaction processed through the DivorcePlus platform is subject to a 5% transaction fee and 15% platform fee.
  • All provider earnings are deposited into their designated financial account on a weekly basis.
  • Example: $100 Uniform Fee collected minus $15 Platform Fee (15%) minus $5 Transaction Fee (5%) = $80 Provider Earnings (80%).

The Fine Print:  DivorcePlus provides a virtual scheduling, billing, and conferencing platform.  You are required to maintain up to date and correct availability for services.  All payments are collected at the time of booking – and earnings are automatically transferred to your designated bank account weekly.

To modify your availability, click on Scheduling to open your calendar.  Your calendar is divided into two portions.  The top part of your calendar allows you to set your daily availability.  You may create set times that you are available – for example, some providers may only want to work on Saturdays between 12pm-4pm, or weekdays from 7pm-9pm.    You may also keep your calendar closed by selecting “OFF” and then opening your calendar when you have availability.  Remember to click Save when you are finished setting your availability.

The second portion of your calendar is a monthly overview that will allow you to block out days.  This is particularly helpful for holidays, special events, and when planning trips.  This function will override your availability in the section above and will not permit scheduling to occur on those days.

To block a particular day, click on the day or days you want to remove from your availability, click on We are not working on this day and then click Close.

DivorcePlus accepts payments for services through Stripe, which is processed at the time of booking.  DivorcePlus does not maintain credit card numbers or other billing information.  Likewise, DivorcePlus does not maintain your personal financial information.

To activate your Stripe account, login to your DivorcePlus professional account and click on the Stripe Activation Button.  From there, follow the onboarding directions provided.  Once activated, your stripe account will automatically attach to your DivorcePlus professional account.
